Irish cycling clubs voted against nominating compatriot Pat McQuaid as a candidate in the upcoming UCI presidential elections at Cycling Ireland’s Extraordinary General Meeting on Saturday in Dublin.

The **** didn't bother his hole turning up.....instead seeking the Swiss nomination to return for a third term.....this all happened on his watch.

McQuaid faces questions on responses to Lance Armstrong, UCI presidency and other anti-doping failures

Ger Gilroy sat down with Pat McQuaid, President of the UCI, earlier today and challenged him on his conduct, and that of the UCI, in relation to the Lance Armstrong scandal and the wider issue of anti-doping in the sport.

Ger challenged McQuaid on his failure to secure a nomination for the UCI presidency from the Irish Cycling Union, his acceptance of money from Lance Armstrong, his record of anti-doping, his treatment of those hurt by Armstong’s deeds and the litany of further charges that have been levelled at the UCI President in the past year.
