Dier is back training
Best get ahead of this one...
He's been out on the piss again, hasn't he?
Either that or he caught a small muscle in his zip...
Probably done celebrating the semi victory, he was giving it some.
I hope not. We haven't even played it yet French arrogance.
Janssen - ?? - Imminent
Lamela - God knows - God knows
Kane - Ankle - next season
Sissoko - Groin - ??
Winks - Groin - ??
Just read a stat that Lamela has now been injured for almost exactly 2 entire years out of his Spurs career.
EDIT: And by 'years' I don't mean 'seasons'. I mean 365 days, twice over.
He's had some great moments in a Spurs shirt, but enough is enough, I think.
If Moussa and Superjan are available that will be a big boost.
That is nearly 3 seasons out of 6 (about 50% attendance rate) .
That + his current age means I will be very surprised if he survives the summer.
Begs the question why on earth we handed him a 4-year contract in the summer, bumping his wages up to £80k. He'll be difficult to shift as frankly he isn't good enough to play for most teams who could afford those wages. Could Everton be tempted?
He's only a youngster, fek me, I'm 60 and I am hoping to survive a few summers more yet.
Maybe Leeds United if they come back up?
There's bad news, Boxer.....
The simple reason is his previous contract would have expired this summer, albeit it had an option to extend it by a year
He will be a useful squad member. He has the ability to metaphorically kick the team up the backside when they are playing without urgency
Can't be a useful squad player if you're injured for 50% of the season. He's the main reason Eriksen is driven into the ground every season.
Apparently Winks has undergone surgery today. Can't say I'm surprised unfortunately, all the noises from Poch since he picked up the injury have pointed in the direction of a possible underlying issue that needs a more permanent solution than simply rest.
The injury situation at our club us actually beginning to worry me. I thought last season was bad but this season has been a joke. Even players who haven't been playing regularly disappear for months on end with seemingly innocuous problems.
Are our physios to blame? Is Poch's training regime too demanding? Or is it simply terrible luck?
